Belize
Friends for Conservation and Development (FCD) is a non-profit, non-governmental organization based in the Cayo District. FCD is the only non–governmental organization with an assertive management presence in the Chiquibul Forest. Day to day, the primary work of FCD, with its partners including the Forest Department, Institute of Archaeology, BDF and the Police, has been to maintain the integrity of natural and cultural resources of the Chiquibul Forest. In addition to the monitoring of Chiquibul Forest, FCD maintains a multi-purpose research program and conducts environmental education with local communities, among other activities.
The Media Institute of the Caribbean (MIC) is a non-profit organization, resource and training facility for the Caribbean that works to empower Caribbean journalists by developing their journalistic techniques with an emphasis on investigative journalism. MIC accomplishes this by i) providing media resources and training for journalists, communicators and leaders in order to contribute to the regional democratic process by supporting an innovative and independent media industry; ii) evaluating current Caribbean policies, strategies and initiatives, and suggests alternatives to regional media challenges, while working within the Caribbean region with journalists, and; iii) facilitating media incubators, innovators and entrepreneurs, among other efforts.

El Centro de Alternativas al Desarrollo (CEALDES) es una asociación sin ánimo de lucro conformada por un equipo interdisciplinar de profesionales de las ciencias sociales, ambientales y básicas que busca la construcción participativa de alternativas a los conflictos socioambientales propios del actual modelo de desarrollo. Para ello, hemos centrado nuestros esfuerzos en la transformación de realidades socioambientales conflictivas a partir del fortalecimiento organizativo de las comunidades rurales y urbanas en el país, en regiones de especial importancia ecológica, para la apropiación y cuidado de los territorios y la naturaleza.
The Centro de Alternativas al Desarrollo (Center for Alternatives to Development or CEALDES) is a non-profit association made up of an interdisciplinary team of professionals from the social, environmental and basic sciences that seeks the participatory construction of alternatives to the socio-environmental conflicts typical of the current development model. They have focused their efforts on the transformation of conflicting socio-environmental realities based on the organizational strengthening of rural and urban communities in Colombia, in regions of special ecological importance and for the appropriation and care of territories and nature.
La Corporación Transparencia por Colombia (TpC), capítulo nacional de Transparency International, nace en 1998 como respuesta de la sociedad civil colombiana a un escenario político complejo, por la incidencia de la corrupción en la institucionalidad pública y en el debilitamiento de la democracia. Desde entonces, TpC ha liderado desde la sociedad civil la lucha contra la corrupción y por la transparencia, en lo público y en lo privado, para promover una ciudadanía activa, fortalecer las instituciones y consolidar nuestra democracia.
Transparency for Colombia Corporation (TpC), the national chapter of Transparency International, was created in 1998 as a response by Colombian civil society to a complex political scenario, due to the incidence of corruption in public institutions and the weakening of democracy. Since then, TpC has led from civil society the fight against corruption and for transparency, in public and private, to promote active citizenship, strengthen institutions and consolidate our democracy.
Ghana
Ghana Integrity Initiative (GII), is the Local Chapter of Transparency International (TI), GII was launched in December 1999 as a non-partisan, non-profit civil empowerment organization focused on the delivery of essential themes necessary for the creation of a National Integrity System.
GII has four main objectives specifically aimed at achieving the vision of a corruption-free Ghana. These are i) to be an effective and efficient civil empowerment organization that works to achieve its anti-corruption mandate; ii) to continuously create awareness about the negative effects of corruption and sensitize citizens on the need to work together towards curbing it in all spheres of society; iii) to empower citizens to demand responsiveness, accountability and transparency from people and institutions in Ghana, and; iv) build a culture of integrity, where corruption is unprofitable for people in government, politics, business and civil society, through collaboration with like-minded people and groups.
Kenya
National Taxpayers Association (NTA) is an independent, non-partisan organization focused on promoting good governance in Kenya. Since 2006, NTA has been implementing programmes focused on enhancing public accountability through monitoring the quality of public service delivery and the management of devolved funds. It has achieved this through the development of social accountability tools (Citizen Report Cards), civic awareness, citizen capacity-building, partnerships with government agencies, service providers, private sector, civil society and community action groups.
Founded in 1999 in Kenya, Transparency International Kenya (TI-Kenya) is a not-for-profit organisation with the aim of developing a transparent and corruption-free society through good governance and social justice initiatives. TI-Kenya is one of the autonomous chapters of the global Transparency International movement that is bound by a common vision of a corruption-free world. The organisation has 20 years’ experience in governance work at the national and county levels. These include direct engagement with the Government, the private sector, individuals and groups. TI-Kenya uses advocacy as its signature approach; this is complemented by other approaches such as partnerships’ development, research, capacity building and civic engagement.
Uganda
The Advocates Coalition for Development and Environment (ACODE) is an independent public policy research and advocacy think tank based in Uganda, working in the East and Southern Africa sub-regions on a wide range of public policy issues. Our core business is policy research and analysis, policy outreach and capacity building. Since the organisation was formed 19 years ago, ACODE has emerged as one of the leading regional public policy think tanks in Sub-Saharan African. As a non-partisan and independent organisation, ACODE does not align with any political party or political organisation. However, given the direct relationship between development policy and politics, we believe that our work is political and it must stand for certain political causes of a bi-partisan nature. Such causes are legitimate issues of research interest so long as they are defined on the basis of constitutionalism, the rule of law, as well as national and regional interests as expressed in the relevant treaties, strategy documents and declarations.
Transparency International Uganda (TIU) is a national chapter of Transparency International the global coalition against corruption. TIU is a registered NGO with the Uganda NGO Bureau contributing towards a corruption free Uganda where the citizens actively condemn corruption and demand for accountability while leaders and public officials uphold the principles of good governance. TIUs’ jurisdiction is country wide and addresses all forms of corruption with specific emphasis on grand and political corruption.
