Luisa Acosta is the Latin America and the Caribbean Program Assistant. She supports the team in different areas such us administrative tasks, communications, engagements and research assistance. Her interests include security, specially the impact of organized crime has within the region.
Prior to joining GFI, Ms. Acosta worked for InSight Crime, an organization that studies organized crime in Latin America. She focused on criminal dynamics, specially in Colombia and Venezuela, and developed a methodology to measure the strenght of criminal actors in Venezuela.
Ms. Acosta is an economist graduated from Externado University (Colombia).
