Solangel Vasquez is a policy analyst for Belize at Global Financial Integrity. She works to expand GFI’s footprint in Belize and is part of the team that collaboratively analyses beneficial ownership and illicit financial flows.
Prior to joining GFI, Solangel worked in the banking industry primarily in projects and as a compliance officer at the Financial Intelligence Unit overseeing the Designated Non-Financial Businesses and Professions portfolio. Her experience traverses finance, Anti-Money Laundering, corporate governance and research.
Solangel holds a Bachelor of Art in Business Administration along with certificates in company law and administration, AML, leadership and managerial skills.
